Community Involvement: The Forgotten Children's Fund 2023

Throughout November and December, our Bellevue office brokers joined forces with the Forgotten Children's Fund in Kent for a heartening gift-wrapping event. The goal was clear: contribute to the organization's mission of bringing holiday cheer to underprivileged children and their families in the Puget Sound region.

Established in 1988, the Forgotten Children's Fund has been a consistent source of hope for countless families during the festive season. Guided by the mission of spreading joy and warmth, the organization orchestrates various community service events, fundraisers, and initiatives. At its core, a dedicated group of volunteers selflessly invests time and effort to ensure no one is left behind during the holidays.

Functioning as an all-volunteer organization, the Forgotten Children's Fund relies on the support of the Seattle community to purchase, wrap, and deliver gifts annually, with Santa and his Elves making special deliveries. Families are carefully chosen based on need, often without assistance from other organizations. Volunteers go above and beyond by personalizing the gifts – considering the children's names, ages, clothing sizes, and any special needs they may have. In some cases, support extends beyond gifts to include essentials like groceries or aid with utility bills.

Operating across various counties in Washington State, including King, Lewis, North Counties (Skagit, Island, Snohomish, and Whatcom), and Chelan, the Forgotten Children's Fund has created a sense of community and shared responsibility.

Our team's involvement in the gift-wrapping event aligned seamlessly with the organization's mission. Thanks to our dedicated efforts, we played a role in providing a Merry Christmas to families in need in the Puget Sound region.
