After beginning his commercial real estate career in 2004 at Colliers, John joined the Bellevue office of NAI PSP in 2008.  Since that time he has consistently ranked amongst the top producers in the company and was invited to become a Partner in the firm in 2015.  Known primarily as an industrial specialist, working with both property and business owners alike, the majority of John’s time is spent cultivating relationships in and around Seattle’s 55 million square feet of close-in office/warehouse and flex/production space.

Today’s consumer demands and last-mile warehousing strategies have brought newfound interest from institutional players in what has historically been known as a locally-owned “mom and pop” submarket.  Consequently, John’s diverse client list includes both local and national groups such as Panattoni Development, Principal, Recology, Lift Partners, Ryan Companies, Dilettante Chocolates, Urban Visions, Rainier Pacific Investment and Vulcan Real Estate.  In 2014, he represented Panattoni and Prudential in a joint venture acquisition of the former WA State Liquor Control Board facility.  The subsequent redevelopment and lease-up of that project was the first of its kind in the close-in Seattle market and was awarded NAIOP’s Deal of the Year.

The Seattle market is dynamic, and John would likely say it is the creative and forward-thinking way in which he approaches his business that clients appreciate the most.  He takes great pride in the small role that one broker can play in addressing today’s challenges and what will be tomorrow’s demands from tenants and landlords in the local real estate landscape.

While John’s accomplishments in brokerage are noteworthy, it’s the emphasis he places on character and accountability that are unique, striving for an “others before self” approach to each interaction.  In his opinion, that is the simplest way to create value for the client.

John resides in Bellevue with his wife, one son, and two younger daughters.  When he has a chance to escape husband, father, and broker duties, he enjoys laughing with buddies on the golf course, a trip or two per year to the sunshine, or shifting through gears (windows down) on a quiet back road. He and his family are also involved at Doxa Church in Bellevue.
